Touching the Lord in Faith- Mark 5:25-34

Do follow us on :

Touch is one of the most important senses and we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, he feels it when we are weak and hurting. Hebrews 4:15. However, fear and doubt can keep us distant from The Lord but draw near and he will draw near to you. Our suffering and faith can be silent, unseen and long in duration but Jesus knows it all. In due time our faith matures and produces the outcome. In due time The Lord acknowledges our faith and answers our hope and prayer. He acknowledges our persevering, steadfast faith and comforts, encourages our faith and provides deliverance. Faith comes before fruit. He blessed her for her faith before providing the need and reason for her faith. She did not give up despite 12 long years. Her faith was monumental but her action was small. Jesus said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith[that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. (Matthew 17:20 AMP) She thought her silent, unseen, insignificant action can bring about healing but in the Lord’s eyes it was big enough to be recorded in the annals of scripture as God glorifying and an example for others to follow. Her suffering was not the main focus but her persevering faith and action is what is honoring and well pleasing to The Lord. As believers now we can touch The Lord through eyes of faith and be called blessed by our lord as he told Thomas when he touched the the nail print hands of our lord and believed. We can touch The Lord physically as the woman and now as believers spiritually and Christ acknowledges and honors it.
